Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 9 June 2026

Distil, operated by Haisem Ltd, is committed to making its website and application accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement explains how accessible Distil is, what to do if you have difficulty using it, and how to report accessibility problems.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Distil is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: most of the service meets the standard, with a small number of known exceptions listed below that we are working to resolve.

How we make Distil accessible

  • Semantic HTML and ARIA roles so assistive technologies can interpret the interface.
  • Full keyboard navigation for interactive controls, with visible focus states.
  • A light and a dark theme, both meeting WCAG AA colour-contrast ratios for text.
  • Text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Form fields with associated labels and clear, descriptive error messages.
  • Numeric figures rendered with tabular numerals for clear alignment.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility can be improved, and are working to address them:

  • Some complex data tables may not yet expose every relationship to screen readers.
  • A few chart visualisations rely on colour; we are adding text and pattern alternatives.

Feedback and contact

If you find an accessibility barrier, or need information in a different format, please contact us and we will respond within five working days:

Enforcement

If you are not happy with how we respond to your feedback, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the accessibility regulations. You can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for advice.
